Reconstruction of the Mind P2
We are remind when we read:
2 Corinthians 10:5; 4:4, 16-18 that we have the power to:
2 Corinthians 10:5
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 4:4
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish , yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen , but at the things which are not seen : for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Live beyond imagination
Let’s take a look at imagination.
Imagination – also called the faculty of imagin-ing, the ability to form new images and sensations not perceived through sight, hearing, or other senses. In other words the ability to draw from the essence of spirituality. This ability is readily avail be to us through two venue’s
– The regions of space beyond the earth’s atmosphere; the heavens.
– The element believed in ancient and medieval civilizations to fill all space above the sphere of the moon and to compose the stars and planets.
2) Spiritual (partnership w/The Holy Spirit)
– The ability to walk in truth (spiritual knowledge)
18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
20 The Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.
5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
And what truth is He talking about here. He’s talking about the truth that you are free.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? and He whom the Father has made free is free in deed.
John 8:35-37 (KJV)
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
1 Corinthians 2:13-15 (KJV)
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
