Letter From Philadelphia
On this Philadelphia journey, to pray for our President Barack Obama, our Congress, Nation, and World, I’ve had much soul searching to do.
I have found that the only thing that qualifies me to be here in Philadelphia for such a powerful time in history is my love for God and His ways, coupled with the confidence in the ability to hear Him. My hope is that He hears me…that He hears US. I realize my station as a sinner saved by grace and my many life failures that, in my minds’ eye, more than disqualifies me to lead this awesome labor of love.
This fourteenth day, of the second month of February, in this two thousandth and fourteenth year, bears much spiritual significance and I sense that the Father desires that we feel the shift in the atmosphere.
The spiritual importance of the numbers representative of 2-14-2014 is paramount. Being a multiple of 7, 14 partakes of its importance and, being double that number, implies a double measure of spiritual perfection. Seven represents completion thus 7 + 7 = 14, indicating a double completion.
Never again will see this sequence of numbers and this date just as it’s year will pass and be no more. 2-14-2014, just like every day, will never be experienced again.
Never in my lifetime, or that of any other time in American history, have we the people witnessed such blatant disrespect and ill will towards the presidency of these United States. Our God is one of order and He has set a standard for the world to obey. Regardless of our spiritual beliefs, political, or personal worldview, as a country we swore to serve and honor God. In that commitment, we must come together in a spirit of unity and prayer for the leaders set before us. We must come together to remind the world of the principles that this great country was built upon. We must remind people, and ourselves, the great privilege and power in prayer.
You may not be able to join us at the Liberty bell to gather in prayer, but I urge you all to please join together in prayer where ever you are. It may be your office, your school, your neighborhood or your home. Now is the time for action. Now is the time to acknowledge God in this equation. Now is the time for prayer.
Because He Lives
