The scope of Celebration Tabernacle goes far beyond the Church doors. The following entities example our involvement in the community.
88 Keys
88 Keys is our community based music education and empowerment program. The program utilizes professional musicians in the community as resources for local school and other youth outreach programs. Providing affordable music lessons, as well as educational workshops, 88 Keys, in partnership with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, strives to awaken the musical giftings in young people that often go undiscovered. In addition to the educational part of the program, the 88 Keys Foundation hosts “An Evening at 88 Keys” each year. The event honors excellence in local musicians, providing scholarships to disadvantaged youth with the support of local businesses.
Musicians Make Better Students 
The mission of the “Musicians Make Better Students” program is to give children in schools without music programs in our community the opportunity to play music in a structured after-school environment. Our goal over the next three years is to have over 150 kids involved in this wonderful program, and to develop the “New Columbia Symphony,” a north Portland youth symphony that will be first in its kind. We aspire to provide scholarships, performance opportunities, and music education for underprivileged children in severely underserved area of our community.
Teach Me To Fish
The Teach Me To Fish program is an initiative designed specifically to empower at-risk and troubled youth within the greater Portland area by providing guided training in job, life and performing arts skills. Empowering program participants with talent and skills instead of handouts, graduates from the program are able to make a life for themselves, as well as learning the importance of empowering others. With chapters in St. Louis and Portland, TMTF has partnered with Risen Construction and Po’Shines: Cafe de la Soul, giving the program a variety of job skills to educate the participants.
PROPER
People Reaching Oppressed People Expecting Restoration (PROPER) seeks to improve communities through pro-active communication and greater awareness by generating open dialogue and lasting relationships between local businesses, organizations, churches and individual people. PROPER holds various community events throughout the year, including Thanksgiving Feeds and Annual PROPER Festivals in both Portland and St. Louis. Most PROPER festivals include booths from local businesses, churches and organizations, free food, family entertainment, local talent and local speakers.
PO’SHINES CAFE DE LA SOUL
Po’Shines: Cafe De La Soul is a non-profit soul food cafe. They serve everything from fried catfish, to BBQ ribs, to chicken and waffles and lattes. All of their profit goes back into the cafe and to their youth training program. As a part of the Teach me to Fish program they provide training and counseling to youth and young adults of our community who are in need of such services as job skills, life skills and GED preparedness. Their mission is simple: feed the community and feed it well. Mind, Body & Soul.
LITTLE ANGELS
Little Angels Academy is a day care center for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. With a low child to teacher ratio, each child receives special attention, which includes daily logging of the children’s routines, health, and behavior. Little Angels offers special rates and opportunities for single parents and parents who are in a lower income bracket, including training in all aspects of early childhood development. The Little Angels training program is offered in exchange for volunteer work from parents who can’t afford the cost.
FRESH START
Fresh Start for Restorative Health is a team of experienced life coaches, trainers nutritionists and professionals. Their goal is to empower uninsured and at risk members of the community through education and training to establish improved health. They focus on major American diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Fresh Start offers free lectures, workshops and community exercise events throughout the year. Individual consultations and coaching sessions are also offered.
ACHAIA RECORDS
Achaia Records is an independent Christian record label dedicated to producing great artists with music that rises far above the blasé mainstream spiritual sounds. Achaia Records has done extensive work with several groups that are based out of Celebration Tabernacle, including 25th hour, Blue Reign and ED Mondaine & Belief.
EMPYREAN PERSPECTIVES
Empyrean Perspectives is a graphic design and web development firm. The company has a heart for building and supporting small businesses and community projects. Empyrean Perspectives also offers services in photography and computer repair. In addition, Empyrean Perspectives freely offers their knowledge, resources and facilities to students interested in learning the business or building their own.
